Paul lives in Philadelphia and is the studio technician at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Fine Arts. He received his BFA from Edinboro University in Pennsylvania. His work combines wheel-thrown forms with hand-built additions.
Paul feels that functional art enhances and defines a space, as well as creating a unique relationship with its user. His objective is to perfect his aesthetic and to exercise his creativity, while producing elegant and useful items.
Paul’s artistic aesthetic combines simplistic shapes with ornate surface patterning. He believes that when the artist handles the object through every step of the process the final result is the most indicative expression of that artist’s uniqueness.
